I’ve been at this personal brand thing for 17 years. I started when I was 15. With a YouTube channel making training videos with bodybuilders and powerlifters. From there I spent over a decade building personal brands for other people.
I was Gary Vaynerchuk’s videographer and TikTok lead for 2.5 years. In three months we grew his TikTok from 300,000 to 3.5 million. I loved editing his Trash Talk series, back when he'd show up at random people's garage sales. Wild times. What a legend.
After that I went in-house with a portfolio company and built an 18-person media team from scratch. Together we scaled two entrepreneurs’ audiences from 1.2 million to over 11.5 million people. The content our team made generated more than 3 billion organic impressions in a single year. More important, that content drove over 70 percent of the leads for their flagship offer.
What I’ve learned over these 17 years is simple: building a brand isn’t about going viral. It's about building trust. It's about showing your audience what to do and making it as easy as possible for them to take action. Over and over. When you do this, you build trust. And trust is the currency that precedes the transaction.
That’s what I do now. I help founders and their teams build brands that scale trust without burning out.
Outside of "all this" you’ll usually find me riding one of my Harley Davidson Motorcycles. I fucking love my motorcycles. And metal shows. Thanks for reading. If you'd like to watch a video where I talk a bit more about my career, it's right here :)
